You suffer from automonosis—the tendency to become bored with your own company. If you need to get away from yourself, here's a tip: you don't have to die in order to be reincarnated. People who don't like themselves often find happiness when they become somebody else. Companies that advertise in the backs of magazines are ready to assist in this transformation. If there are compelling personal reasons for not changing your identity, perhaps a trip to a spa for a simple makeover will do the trick.

New Orleans Saints Fans Angry Following Super Bowl Win
Feb 10, 2010, 10:08

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Saints' victory parade was rained on by Las Vegas odds makers, who installed the Indianapolis Colts as 13:2 favorites to win next year's Super Bowl. What's more, the San Diego Chargers are second favorites at 8:1, while the Saints are tied for third with the New England Patriots at 10:1.

That news did not sit well with Saints' fans, who saw the odds makers' selections as an example of kicking people while they're up.

"We whipped the Colts by two touchdowns," said unemployed sheet metal worker Custer DuBois. "Why aren't we the favorites? How many damn Super Bowls do we have to win before we get to be the favorites?"

Like many other Saints fans, Mr. DuBois sees an anti-New Orleans bias in the odds makers' selections.

"Them odds makers showed a lack respect for the way the people of New Orleans have suffered since Katrina," he said. "We deserved to win the Super Bowl the year after that sucker hit. We earned it. In fact, we should win every Super Bowl until the National Football League makes this city whole again."

Outgoing mayor, Ray Nagin, blamed racism for the odds makers' choices.

"Two out of three people living in New Orleans are black," said Mr. Nagin. "Only one out of four people in Indianapolis is a brother—less than that in San Diego and New England. If that isn't racism, you tell me what is."

Mayor Nagin also had harsh words for people who left New Orleans after Katrina and never returned.

"Let 'em stay where they are," said the mayor. "They turned tail and ran just because their houses and all their possessions were under water. They didn't earn anything. I'd better never see one of them prancing around here in a Saints jersey."

In related news, despite the love-in staged at the Super Bowl by Bradd Pitt and Angelina Jolie, odds makers lowered the odds of their separating from 2:1 to even money.

Joe Paterno image

Former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno did not die of a broken heart, as many of his delusional followers are claiming. He died of a guilty conscience. Anybody who says otherwise is a toadying douchebag.
