Maliki Fights Back, Calls Hillary Clinton an Unelectable Whore

Nouri al-Maliki makes an obscene Arabic gesture while slogging Hillary Clinton at a press conference yesterday.

BAGHDAD – Iraqi prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki, called Senator Hillary Clinton “an unelectable whore” yesterday. The obviously annoyed prime minister made this observation during a profane tirade at a press conference in Baghdad's fortified Green Shopping Zone.

Repeatedly using a vulgar Arabic expression for vagina, Prime Minister Maliki said that Senator Clinton is a “fatally flawed” candidate.

“That (vulgarity deleted) enters the general election campaign with the highest negatives of any candidate in the history of the Gallup Poll. The only person who comes close is Al Gore, and he’s not even a candidate, yet.”

Senator Clinton’s negative ratings, 49 percent, exceed Mr. Gore’s by 15 points according to the latest Gallup Poll, which has an over-under of thirty-seven.

Prime Minister Maliki’s crude but heartfelt remarks followed Senator Clinton’s call for his ouster last week. A Shiite leader, Mr. Maliki has been criticized for failing to make nice with Iraq’s Sunnis and Kurds, and this perceived failure led Mrs. Clinton to suggest that “Iraq would be better of with someone competent in charge of the government.”

Upon learning of Mr. Maliki’s claim that she is unelectable, Senator Clinton wasted no time linking him to “the vast right-wing conspiracy that has sought to discredit me since I was co-president.”

As proof of her contention, Senator Clinton noted the “almost word-for-word correspondence, right down to the Arabic vulgarity” between Mr. Maliki’s remarks and remarks made by Karl Rove on Sunday morning television last week.

“I think someone’s been putting words in Mr. Maliki’s mouth,” said Senator Clinton. “It’s unfortunate that no one has thought to put a brain in his head as well. Maybe now that Bush’s brain is out of work . . ..”

“Oh yeah,” countered Mr. Maliki, “well it takes a village to raise an idiot (vulgarity deleted) like her.”
